Utah Flash Pinnacle Dancers Hold Second Audition

Second Audition for Professional Sports Dance Team is Sept. 29 at Pinnacle Security Gym in Orem

PROVO, UTAH, Sept. 20, 2007 – Final auditions for the inaugural Utah Flash Pinnacle Dance Team will be held Saturday, Sept. 29 at the Pinnacle Security Gymnasium in Orem, according to the dance team coach and current Utah Jazz dancer Brindie McCleary. Registration gets underway at 8 a.m., with auditions beginning at 9.

The first of two auditions was held Sept. 15. The 14 top dancers from both auditions will be chosen to form the 2007-08 squad.

The Utah Flash is the NBA Development League affiliate of the NBA’s Utah Jazz and Boston Celtics. Flash Pinnacle dancers will be paid to perform at 24 games throughout the NBA Development League season, but the first scheduled show is at halftime of the Utah Jazz-Milwaukee Bucks preseason game Oct. 10 at Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City.

Dancers are required to be 18 years of age by Sept. 29, must be a high school graduate, have an athletic physique, have experience in hip-hop and jazz, as well as be energetic and motivated. A non-returnable 5x7 photograph must be brought to the audition. Dancer’s attire should include dance pants and fitted top and non-marking dance or athletic shoes.

Pinnacle Security Gymnasium is located at 1290 Sandhill Road, Orem, Utah, just off the University Parkway Exit from I-15.
