Flash Open Training Camp

Inaugural Season Finally Gets Underway

OREM, Utah, Nov. 10 -- Preparations for the Utah Flash inaugural season finally got underway as head coach Brad Jones, his staff and 17 players, including Utah Jazz assigned player Kyrylo Fesenko, tipped off training camp Saturday with a two-hour practice at Pinnacle Gym.

“We finally are getting to do the thing we all came here to do and the thing we enjoy the most, which is playing basketball,” Jones said. “I’m pleased that most of the guys came in here in good enough condition to try to make our basketball team. Of course, it’s just the first day.”

The Flash will practice twice a day for the next three days, capping two-a-days with an intrasquad scrimmage Tuesday night. The only preseason contest for the Flash will be played Nov. 19 against the Idaho Stampede at a neutral site in Burley, Idaho.

The Flash open the season Nov. 24 in Southern California against the Anaheim Arsenal. The home opener is set for Nov. 27 when the defending D-League champion Dakota Wizards visit the McKay Events Center.
