Global Outreach
Thanks to the basketball’s global appeal, the NBA continues to support basketball development and community outreach programs that have reached people in more than 25 countries. These league programs and events provide teams and players with the opportunity to give back internationally during the offseason.

Basketball without Borders is the NBA and FIBA’s global basketball development program that uses the sport to create positive social change in the areas of education, health and wellness. These camps bring top youth players together to train under NBA players and coaches and compete against their peers.
NBA teams travel overseas each preseason, providing fans in these regions with the opportunity to experience NBA basketball live. In addition to bringing the game to local fans, visiting players, coaches, NBA Legends, and executives participate in community outreach efforts that range from the creation of live, learn and play spaces to basketball clinics.
The NBA has created more than 85 Live, Learn or Play Spaces at schools, neighborhoods and community centers worldwide. These new and refurbished basketball courts, libraries, playgrounds, homes and technology rooms are created in conjunction with NBA league and team community and business partners.
Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA
the Jr. NBA / Jr. WNBA, the NBA's exclusively international grassroots development program, delivers fundamental basketball programs and instruction for players, parents, coaches and officials worldwide, reaching 600,000 participants.
